African Cancer Institute

The African Cancer Institute (ACI) is the coordinating and directive institution for research and training in the field of cancer within Stellenbosch University. The Institute brings together cancer stakeholders involved in research, teaching and patient care to engage and participate in the cancer sciences across several disciplines (basic, clinical and population sciences) allowing for the realisation of higher levels of impact. Expansion of the ACI’s regional and international footprint in respect of its research activities, collaborations, postgraduate teaching and community engagements in line with its vision and mission has facilitated the advancement of its cancer control and prevention efforts. A position has now become available within the Institute for an outstanding scientist with an exceptional track record of accomplishment to be appointed at the rank of Senior Lecturer to advance postgraduate programmes in the cancer sciences and contribute to its research portfolio.
